Letters
We frequently get thank-you letters and photographs from Troops who receive our Care Packages and friends who support our work. Here are some of them....

Thanks Nebraska Troops
Greetings from Kunar Province, Afghanistan,
I am the Task Force Chaplain for 1-32 IN BN, 3BCT, 10th MTN DIV stationed
out of Fort Drum, NY, currently deployed to Eastern Afghanistan. I am not
sure how your packages showed up at my door.
Perhaps one of my Soldiers brought it by. As I cleaned out the box to give
to other Soldiers, I came across your note.
Thank you for all your continued prayers and support to all our Troopers
serving in Iraq and Afghanistan especially during our economical times and
when the war over here is becoming less and less popular in the states.
May God bless you and your efforts as you continue to serve both Him and
Country.
I just returned from visiting one of the locations where a company of my
Soldiers are at. Great visit, however, the men are getting excited to come
home.
During Christmas Soldiers will be conducting combat operations and be missing their families. So the biggest support I need is to assist with creating a Christmas Spirit during a time when most of us will be missing our loved ones and family traditions.
If your organization can donate a fake tree or two that would be awesome. If
a tree is too much then wreaths and lights, décor etc. will do. I would like
to push out decorations, lights, a tree and anything else that expresses the
Christmas Spirit to each of our locations where the Soldiers live and
operate from.
Additional items would be Christmas CDs, and Movies. Food
items that are popular are popcorn, and believe it our not, pizza
ingredients. The local Afghans make homemade bread that is very good. It is
flat and the Soldiers like to spice it up a little with pizza sauce and
canned mushrooms, ect. They get the cheese from the DFAC here. So send any
kind of pizza ingredients. They like to eat them as they watch the football
games.
Thank you so much for all that you do. I know your blessings come in the joy
of giving. Pretty soon we will be home and the new unit will assume our
responsibilities.
Chaplain (CPT) Kevin B. Mucher
TF Chosin Chaplain
Here is a photo taken just before Chaplain Kevin was deployed. It was taken by
someone in the Watertown, NY paper and published in an article.

From MAJ Kenneth Boatman, ANP 203RD Corp, G4 Mentor:
I want to thank you and your group for sending packages to all of us in Afghanistan. They were addressed to Kevin Neumann but we are all from the same team from NE and he shared them with us. It was very thoughtful of you all to do that. THANKS
I attached a picture of Lynn Heng (NE City) and myself (Lincoln) with a Husker flag in front of our rooms. Feel free to share it with anyone that helps you.

Subject: Thank you for your support!
UNCLASSIFIED
Hello!
The weather is getting extremely hot here! 114 degrees yesterday. I
just wanted to take time to thank everyone for supporting my company.
All the care packages have been wonderful. Everyone here is very
grateful for your support. Thank you for taking the time out of your
day to think about us.
I have attached a picture of my company so you
will know who you are supporting! I am on the far left side, first row.
My First Sergeant is right behind me.
Again, we appreciate everything
that you are doing to support us!
God Bless,
CPT Susan Tallman
